Craig Workman has created and implemented hundreds of successful public relations and marketing programs and projects, ranging from the nation’s most successful urban gun buy back program to the most comprehensive effort to change the way American consumers view our nation’s food supply. He has 29 years of professional marketing communications experience.
Craig started The Workman Company on ten days’ notice in 1993 when his employer at the time (a large international public relations agency) abruptly closed their St. Louis office and let everyone go. Being highly motivated from this experience, Craig began the agency with one client and very little money. Since then Craig has built the business by providing outstanding client service and programs that deliver on their promise to more than 60 additional clients.
Craig also provides significant volunteer services to his community, his profession and his alma mater. He is on the board of directors of Project COPE, a transitional housing agency for felons leaving prison. He has served as President of the St. Louis Chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Mizzou Alumni Association, where he also served on the national organization’s Long Range Planning Committee. He has provided pro bono services to the Exploring Division - Boy Scouts of America and the Metropolitan St. Louis Police Department, and has served as a public relations advisor to FOCUS St. Louis and Confluence St. Louis. He was a member of the St. Louis Port Authority Commission.
Craig is a 1978 journalism graduate of the University of Missouri.
Julie Kuenneke manages the agency's event marketing and local media publicity accounts. Prior to joining The Workman Company in 2002, she was an assistant account manager for The Hughes Group, a St. Louis-based advertising and marketing communications agency. At Hughes, Kuenneke worked on a variety of not-for-profit and business-to-business accounts including Solutia Wear-Dated carpet fiber, Riccar America vacuum cleaners and the American Optometric Association.
Julie is a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro St. Louis and a member of the Public Relations Society of America. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
Beth Paulsen is an accredited public relations professional with more than 25 years of experience working in the Kansas City market. She has worked extensively in both the non-profit and public sectors, with significant involvement in the health care, law and higher education fields. Her previous employers include the American Academy of Physicians, Fleishman-Hillard, Inc., Blades & Associates, and the Kansas City Zoo.
Beth is actively involved in her profession and the community at large. She is a past president of the Greater Kansas City chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, as well as a former chair of the Outreach Committee for the Greater Kansas City affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
